Voting for the EU referendum finished at 10pm on 23 June, which is when the live broadcasts began on BBC, ITV and Sky.  If you couldn’t get to a TV, you could still watch the BBC’s coverage – hosted by David Dimbleby on BBC One – on iPlayer. This stream will now be available on catch-up, or you can use iPlayer to tune into the ongoing coverage on BBC News. If you want to use iPlayer outside the UK you will need to install a VPN like TotalVPN to get around the geographical blocks put in place by the BBC (see our round-up of the best VPN services). An alternative is to head to www.tvcatchup.com which lets you watch certain channels live for free online, including BBC News, BBC One and ITV. Apps are also available for iPhone, iPad and Android (UK Android users should look for the ToView app in the Google Play store). You can also watch Sky News live online for free at Sky’s website. And if you’re a Sky customer, you can watch Sky channels live using the Sky Go app.
